This special service includes notifications, alerts and confirmations; i.e. salary deposit, overdrawn account, and last (n) transactions. Two types of message formats are available - Push services and Pull services.

What is the maximum length for the SMS or text message?

SMS (Short Message Service) is a service for sending messages of up to 160 characters to mobile phones that use Global System for Mobile (GSM) communication. Each short message is up to 160 characters is length when Latin alphabets are used, and 70 characters in length when non-Latin alphabets such as Arabic and Chinese are used.

Will I receive these messages if my phone is out of range or inactive?

SMS messages do not require the mobile phone to be active and within range and will be held for a number of days until the phone is active and within range.
